Metal Case. Designed by and for Public Safety, the VX-537 portable combines the proven ruggedness of the VX-510 and VX-520 portables with the sought after feature rich VX-800 and VX-900 portables. With 512-channel capacity, you will not have a problem storing all your frequencies and those of your neighboring cities and counties. The slanted 8-character display gives wider viewing angel and it is recessed to add protection against everyday, heavy-duty use.
The VX-530 comes ready for a leather case. No clip is included. The optional Clip-4 is available if you want to use a belt clip.

| Active Noise Canceling Microphone |
| The noise canceling microphone is actually a second full range mic element built into the chassis of the radio. The surrounding noise is collected by this second mic element. The audio is inverted, then added to the main mic element. This effectively cancels out the background noise while leaving the voice audio full and clear. |
